No corren buenos tiempos para el complejo Hyatt y La Manga Club.

Desde hace tiempo venimos sufriendo una crisis que ha terminado por llegar a este maravilloso complejo turístico.

La empresa gestora MedGroup, para tener dificultades para seguir con dicha gestión, habiendo presentado un concurso de acreedores (antigua suspensión de pagos).

Ya de todas formas el pasado día 12 de diciembre se dio a conocer los empleados que quedan despedidos, ascendiendo a un total de 87.

Esperemos que poco a poco la empresa consiga inversores para sacar adelante el complejo y sobre todo para poder readmitir a los empleados y si es posible contratar otros nuevos.

En Cartagena y en la denominada diputación del Rincón de San Ginés, la más oriental de todas, se integra todo el territorio de nuestro municipio que forma parte de La Manga del Mar Menor, la porción de litoral Mediterráneo entre Cabo de Palos y Punta Negra y la zona del Mar Menor comprendida entre Los Nietos y Playa de Paraíso. Sus límites por el Oeste lo establecen el municipio de La Unión y la diputación de El Beal.

Ello nos da idea de su variada riqueza y diversidad de ambientes, especialmente cuando consideramos sus posibilidades turísticas, pues no en vano desde que el ciudadano norteamericano Gregory Peters se dio cuenta a principio de los años setenta de las condiciones geográficas del paraje de Atamaría, próximo al poblado de Los Belones, aquí se situaron las instalaciones de La Manga Club, uno de los mejores complejos turísticos y de ocio de todo el mundo.
